WordPress provides an endless resource to customize the look and feel of any site quickly and relatively easily. As Hawaii Beach Guide is designed to show users the beauty of the beaches of Hawaii’s, my intent from the start was to incorporate as many images as I could.
Using plugins like Master Slider and embedding social media sites, like Tumblr (I had wanted to use Instagram but could not figure out how to get the access tokens), as well as the built-in features of the theme I could easily add and arrange images in what I hope is a well designed and attractive way. WooCommerce made setting up a store also a relatively easy and quick experience – one that is much more than trying to do it from scratch yourself! In addition, the layout of the site and the ability to customize the header pictures helps to draw a user’s attention to the site and helps make it look attractive.
However, the images of Hawaii are really the selling point of the site – it is what will attract users in and get them to explore the content of Hawaii Beach Guide. The easy ability to integrate social media within the site too also means that hopefully these users will then tell their friends!
